  • ADR TRANSPORT

    The purpose of the ADR standard is to prevent risks associated with loading, unloading and transport of substances and objects that are dangerous for people and the environment, and for this reason classified at an international level according to their chemical-physical composition and the consequent possible dangerous reaction. Dangerous goods are divided into 13 classes. Each class is associated with a specific danger, the main ones are: Flammable Explosive Corrosive Radioactive Toxic Infectious Oxidizing In Europe, the transport of dangerous goods is regulated by various agreements: the ADR for the road, the RID for the railways and the ADN for inland waterways. The operating procedures for road transport are regulated by the ADR Agreement, whose last update came into force on 1 January 2013.

  • BATTERY TRANSPORT

    On 1 January 2021, the new regulation for the transport of dangerous goods by road (ADR) came into force. The regulation will be applicable on a voluntary basis until 30 June, while its application will be mandatory from 1 July 2021. Among the new features of ADR 2021, there are some that concern the shipment of lithium batteries by road, which are probably the most dangerous products to ship at the moment, as well as those subject to greater controls by the competent authorities. Due to the not always simple interpretation of the rules, those who prepare the packages often have difficulty when they have to package a lithium battery (UN3090 / UN3480), a device containing a lithium battery or a device together with its lithium battery (UN3091 / UN3481).
